Artist: ERIC BURDON & THE ANIMALS
Album: WINDS OF CHANGE REMASTERED (DIGI)

Release date: 1967/ 2004
Media type: CD

Ace shouter Eric Burdon from Newcastle, UK, had just quit his stormy R&B years when he put together The Animals, Mk.II who were responsible for a brand-new sound as well. "Winds Of Change", packed with outstanding compositions immediately became a true psychedelic classic though underrated at the time of its original release. "San Franciscan Nights" and "Good Times" are simply irresistable, "The Black Plague" and "Hotel Hell" still send shivers down one's spines, and The Animals' reworking of The Stones' "Paint It Black" remains a classic cover. Additional single extras round up one of the ultimate album highlights from that unforgettable "summer of love".
