Zeke (pronounced "Zeek") is an American hardcore punk band from Seattle, Washington. They are known for their extremely high-powered, driving guitar sound mixed with blues-rock influences, and are therefore sometimes compared to Motцrhead. Zeke released their first single, "West Seattle Acid Party", in 1993; after several album releases on indie label Scooch Pooch Records, they signed with Epitaph in 1998. They are currently signed to Relapse Records.
A shotgun marriage of punks’ get-up n go sneer with rock-n-roll’s down and dirty side, Zeke’s early material is the stuff of legend. The music is less songs than stripped down, juiced up blasts of adrenaline stuffed with drill-sergeant vocals, break-neck drumming, and blistering solos. There is no fluff and no margin for error, just relentless energy and maximum attitude. Like a giant middle finger in the face of fashion, Flat Tracker exhibits all the full-throttle, fast-n-furious rock action that is Zeke’s calling card.
