DORO - “CLASSIC DIAMONDS” and “LET LOVE RAIN ON ME” !!! - 4 August 2004
Finally the time has come and DORO, Warlock and the complete 40-piece Classic Night Orchestra will enter the stage at the Wacken Open Air 2004 (06.08.2004 at 11:45 pm) to present the new arranged and orchestrated material. Additionally there will be a signing session on Friday at 7:15 pm and a Metal raffle with Angela Gossow in the bus at the VIP campground. So plenty of promotional work for DORO to do...
Another news from the Doro camp concerns one of her favourite sports - boxing. Doro just finished writing the new entrance theme song for Germany’s most-successful female box star Regina Halmich. The premiere of this cooperation will be presented on Sept. 11, 2004 at the world championship fight against Las Vegas based US girl Elena Reid – broadcasted live in German television. The 5,000 seats of the ’dm arena’ in Karlsruhe are almost sold out and everybody is expecting a good and exciting fight and a successful title-holding of Regina Halmich.
Last weekend Doro participated in shootings for the German ’Goodyear’ TV program. It’s a weekly show all about cars and travelling in general. Doro’s nerve-racking job was to speed-test 4 cars, well - of course not just four standard consumer cars – what she had to do is pushing the accelerator pedal of a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche and Mercedes to the limit to get the perfect surge of adrenalin. The shooting has been broadcasted last Sunday on SAT 1.
Now let’s get back to the new album: “CLASSIC DIAMONDS” is packed with hymns out of 20 year’s Doro and Warlock which will be presented in a completely new robe. On top of that there will be 6 new tracks which have been especially composed for this album project. By the way, this release is not a best-of thing, but a completely new approach to the songs - interesting for long-term followers and newbies. Special guests who supported the recording sessions: Blaze Bayley (ex-Iron Maiden), Kai Hansen (Gamma Ray, ex-Helloween) and Udo Dirkschneider (U.D.O., Accept). The album will be available as standard jewelcase version and highly exclusive and limited digibook printed on special aluminium foil. A videoclip of the first single „Let Love Rain On Me“ will also be available on the limited version as well as 4 bonus tracks.
