GOREROTTED to enter studio [!] - 1 February 2005
During February 2005 GOREROTTED will fly out to Aexxys-Art Studio (Munich, Germany) to begin recording 'A New Dawn For The Dead', their highly anticipated third album. For the first time GOREROTTED will move from their usual studio to work with longtime live sound engineer Markus Roedl on the new material. The album title 'A New Dawn For The Dead', apart from the obvious reference to the classic horror films, also has a more subtle message, this is a 'new dawn' for GOREROTTED. Now down to a five piece (following the departure of 2nd vocalist Mr Gore) we see GOREROTTED expanding on their musical foundations to create a much darker, technical but also haunting album. Lyrics too have followed this new path with subjects ranging from murder to voodoo and from psychotic violence to drug abuse.
Vocalist Ben Goreskin had these words to say on the subject. 'I can honestly say I'm more excited about this album than all the others put together. It's a new chapter for Gorerotted, our sound's made it's natural progression and we've got a whole load of new ideas built on the classic Gorerotted sound this time. It's gonna surprise a lot of people, and not in a "How-the-fuck-can-these-cocks-STILL-be-allowed-anywhere-near-a-studio!?"kinda way, they're just gonna like it, lots....'
Artwork for 'A New Dawn For The Dead' will be handled by artist Mick Kenny (Anaal Nathrakh, Mistress, Napalm Death) and we can only imagine it will be some of his sickest work to date.
'A NEW DAWN FOR THE DEAD' is scheduled for release in June 2005 via Metal Blade Records.
