50 Years of ACCEPT: 50 A-List Musicians Join Celebratory Manifesto of Metal

German heavy metal legends ACCEPT celebrate 50 years of pure power, bringing together the scene’s A-list musicians for a landmark release. Teutonic Titans 1976-2026 is a definitive statement of the band’s legacy, forged in steel and driven by unmistakable riffs. Arriving September 4, 2026, via Napalm Records, the album delivers some of the most iconic songs ever written in heavy music. At the helm, guitarist Wolf Hoffmann, the longtime architect of ACCEPT’s sound, is joined by a staggering 50 guests across 19 reimagined versions of the band’s biggest tracks. With it, ACCEPT deliver one of their most ambitious and star-studded releases to date.

Progressing through albums from their formative years, from I’m a Rebel (1980) to Eat the Heat (1989), ACCEPT present their songs with an all-new, all-star lineup, alongside the signature voice of Mark Tornillo and Wolf Hoffmann’s unmistakable riffs. By enlisting a Who’s Who of metal, no two songs on Teutonic Titans 1976-2026 are the same. Every track features a different combination of vocals, guitars, bass, and drums, giving each classic a fresh edge. Tobias Forge delivers a commanding performance on “Save Us” (I’m a Rebel, 1980), joined by Ray Luzier on drums. Phil Anselmo, Kirk Hammett, and Mikkey Dee tear through the speed metal classic “Fast As A Shark” (Restless and Wild, 1982). “Balls to the Wall” surges with the powerful range of Metal God Rob Halford, alongside the guitar work of Matthias Jabs. The reimagined “Love Child” is elevated by Billy Corgan and David Ellefson (both songs from Balls to the Wall, 1983). Other guest stars on ACCEPT’s extraordinary release include K. K. Downing, Bobby Blitz, Hansi Kürsch, Chris Jericho, Ralf Scheepers, Billy Sheehan, Ola Englund, and Jeff Loomis. Topping it off is a re-recording of “Hellhammer” (Eat the Heat, 1989), performed by ACCEPT’s current lineup: Wolf Hoffmann, bassist Martin Motnik, guitarist Philip Shouse and drummer Christopher Williams, joined by Jason McMaster on vocals.

Teutonic Titans 1976-2026 reaches far beyond the borders of ACCEPT’s country of origin. Packed with the biggest names in heavy music paying tribute to the German icons, the record cements the band’s standing on the global stage. This is more than an album. It is a manifesto of metal!

Founded in 1976, ACCEPT, the long-standing legendary German titans of heavy metal, are back with a fiercely awaited and highly acclaimed new studio album, entitled Humanoid, to be released on the 26th of April, 2024 via Napalm Records. Once again finalized by leading metal producer Andy Sneap (Judas Priest, Amon Amarth, Testament, Saxon, etc.) at his Backstage Recording Studios Ltd. in Derbyshire, UK, Humanoid is a towering musical achievement and another world class entry in the ACCEPT catalog, certain to rally fans from around the world. Humanoid will be available in various formats worldwide, some of them strictly limited.

Humanoid joins absolute genre classics like Balls To The Wall, certified Gold in USA and Canada, Metal Heart, and newer masterpieces like Blood of the Nations or the #1 album Blind Rage. Their albums regularly place in national Top 10 sales charts, with global sales in excess of 17 million to date.

ACCEPT have never shied away from hot button issues, and this album is no exception. Yet the band’s 17th studio album is certainly not a concept album. It deals with topics like AI and how our reliance on technology is gradually stripping away our individuality. ACCEPT offers a warning in this new album and title track single Humanoid. Since singer Mark Tornillo will never be an advocate for the digital age, he counterbalances the title track with raw emotions, frailties, significant Rites of Passage we encounter on the path of life and characteristics that make us uniquely human: feeling uncomfortable, getting older, dealing with hurt, disappointment, and the final stop for everyone: death.     

Humanoid is a ferociously electrifying, dynamic and subtly nuanced platter with tongue in cheek humor, biblical references in “The Reckoning” – an ode to concert audiences – a thrilling new spin on the “Frankenstein” story and “Straight Up Jack” – a track that surely would have been a Bon Scott approved drinking song.

The opening track “Diving into Sin” gives listeners a hair-raising energetic jolt with its Middle Eastern influenced intro, and an almost aggressive, screaming vocal from Tornillo setting the rest of the album up for a most bountiful feast. ""Unbreakable"" is as much about the band as it is the bond between ACCEPT and their fans, in the concert arena – an easy going “Hey, let’s do this, ‘kind of rock song.” ""Mind Games"", on the other hand, has a vintage feel, circa “Metal Heart”. ""No One Gets Out Alive"" seems tailor made for live shows. It says that regardless of life's circumstances, rich, famous, or not, death is the great equalizer. The good ole’ drinking song, ""Straight Up Jack"" utilizes many euphemisms for ordering at the bar. Upbeat and aggressive with guitar interplay, ""Southside Of Hell"" ends the disc with a wonderful bit of wordplay, courtesy of Tornillo.

ACCEPT ARE BACK! The German kingpins of heavy metal will release their new, eagely-awaited studio album via Nuclear Blast on January 15th 2021. The ingenious title of the masterpiece is “Too Mean To Die”.

Special circumstances often lead to very special albums. This is certainly true for “Too Mean To Die”, which of course alludes to the Corona period, although in a different way than one might assume. The title track is a classic Accept cracker: dynamic and unwavering, turned up to eleven! 'Zombie Apocalypse', also relentless and hard, strikes the same note in the band’s signature style. The first single - which will be released on October 2nd 2020 together with a remarkable video - is different. Titled ‘The Undertaker’, its a terrific midtempo number with great vocals and a built-in character that chugs along – certain to deliver some mermorable live moments! According to Wolf Hoffmann its one of the most catchy, pleasing pieces of the album. Just how varied the ACCEPT guitar trio performs on the new album is proven by one of the secret highlights: ‘The Best Is Yet To Come’ – a beguiling ballad in which Mark Tornillo is at his best. The metal world knows that Mark can scream like no other, but here it shows once again that the frontman can also sing magnificently.

Over the past few months, the German band has been anything but passive, instead they‘ve been finalising their latest project, their upcoming live release »Symphonic Terror – Live at Wacken 2017«!

Fans can expect a unique, 2 hour ACCEPT show, shot on August 3rd, 2017 at the legendary W:O:A, where the band played the biggest and most extraordinary show of their career in front of 80.000 live fans at the festival, on top of thousands more fans watching via the live stream! The show was divided into three parts, showing the full creative power of ACCEPT: The first part hosted the premiere of new tracks 'Die By The Sword' and 'Koolaid', as well as some of their most popular songs, such as 'Restless And Wild' and 'Pandemic'.

The middle part hosted guitarist Wolf Hoffmann accompanied by a symphony orchestra, presenting the best-of from his recent solo album »Headbangers Symphony«, which includes metal versions of some of the world‘s biggest classical compositions (e.g. from Beethoven, Mozart, Vivaldi,...).

And in the last but not least part, fans were able to bang their heads to ACCEPT anthems (also accompanied by the orchestra), such as 'Princess Of The Dawn', 'Breaker', 'Fast As A Shark' and 'Metal Heart', as well as to new songs like 'Stalingrad', 'Shadow Soldiers' or 'Teutonic Terror'. The finale could be nothing less than an 8 minute version of their eminent hit 'Balls To The Walls'!

Teutonic metallers ACCEPT could already claim big worldwide success with »Blood Of The Nations« and »Stalingrad«, but with »Blind Rage«, they reached the pinnacle of their career in the form of the pole position, a #1 album. Besides #1 in Germany, ACCEPT also hit #1 in Finland as well as several top 10 positions; Czech Republic, Hungary, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK and last but not least the US. After releasing a string of metal classics in the 80s such as »Breaker« (1981), »Balls To The Wall« (1983) and »Metal Heart« (1985), which made them iconic, the band with Wolf Hoffmann and Peter Baltes still haven’t peaked, especially if you glance across their touring schedule; ACCEPT have headlined Woodstock Festival Poland, Wacken Open Air, Czech Masters Of Rock Festival and Bang Your Head!!! Festival, Germany - amongst countless other performances over the last few years. Their Bang Your Head!!! performance was also filmed and released in the form of a live DVD/Blu-ray+2CD package titled »Restless And Live« (2017), reminiscent of their classic »Restless And Wild« (1982). With this DVD in the fans’ hands, ACCEPT could cement their previous success from »Blind Rage« by hitting #1 in the Swedish and German DVD charts amongst others.

But that’s enough nostalgia - back to the present, back to 2017! After the aforementioned DVD’s unleashing and an almost 3-month European tour, ACCEPT speed around the corner with their new album »The Rise Of Chaos« which will cement their status as genre leaders once again. Guitarist Wolf Hoffmann comments on the album title, “»The Rise Of Chaos« is something I have been thinking about often. It describes a condition which is slowly spreading around the world. With the stage setup on our latest European tour, we wanted to portray rather dystopian and destroyed scenery. If you now take a look at our new cover, it’s the same imagery. This time however you can also spot the invisible destruction that we feel more and more in these times, as well as the visible destruction.”

ACCEPT continue along the path they started with their three previous records, which is why the band has recorded their 4th studio album since 2010 once again with Andy Sneap. The exceptionally detailed artwork was created by Gyula Havancsák. “Previously our cover artworks had been really simple and focussed on one message. But this time, we wanted to make it more interesting by using an atmospheric picture where you can find a lot of hidden details, but also with a clear and thoughtful statement present,” adds Wolf.

The band delivers more than just a musical statement with »The Rise Of Chaos«, in this case it’s a clear announcement (!) - with the straight forward opening track 'Die By The Sword': Galloping drums, lightning guitars and ACCEPT’s trademark choir instantly silence any doubt as to whether they’re still the top dog when it comes to top-notch Teutonic metal. Second track 'Hole In The Head' leaves no time to breathe, before the title track kick-starts and tries to pummel its way through the listener’s ear canal. This song may evoke a sense of familiarity within listeners, because it was previously released with an impressive music video. After consuming the upcoming 'Koolaid' shake, 'No Regrets' keeps heads banging with its speedy guitar solos, which concludes the 1st half of the record. 'Analog Man' rings in the 2nd part, telling the story of the world increasing digitisation: Its haunting (pre) chorus should undoubtedly confirm its place in forthcoming ACCEPT set lists. Track number 8, 'Worlds Colliding', marks the album’s most thoughtful song, swiftly followed by the fastest banger of »The Rise Of Chaos«, 'Carry The Weight'. After 45 minutes, the closer, 'Race To Extinction', lets the record fade out fittingly.

The songs from »The Rise Of Chaos« will be performed for the very first time at Wacken Open Air 2017’s »Night To Remember«. Besides new ACCEPT tracks, Wolf Hoffmann will also bring his latest solo album titled »Headbangers Symphony« (2016), which showcases famous pieces by classical composers such as Beethoven, Vivaldi and Mozart (specially arranged for the metal world) on the stage for the first time ever; he will be supported by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra. The last and concluding third part of this once in a lifetime evening will be fulfilled with a classic ACCEPT set alongside the orchestra.
